Role Description The Production Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Vinukonda, responsible for overseeing daily production activities in the dairy processing facility. This role includes planning and scheduling production runs, monitoring equipment and processes, and ensuring that all products meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards. The Production Manager coordinates with procurement, maintenance, and logistics teams to manage inventory, reduce downtime, and optimize resource utilization. This position also involves supervising and guiding production staff, implementing standard operating procedures, tracking performance metrics, and supporting continuous improvement projects to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of production planning, process control, and manufacturing operations, preferably in the dairy or food processing industry.
Experience implementing and maintaining quality assurance, food safety, and hygiene standards (e.g., FSSAI, HACCP or similar frameworks).
Proficiency in supervising teams, delegating tasks, and providing clear direction and feedback to production staff.
Ability to analyze production data, monitor KPIs, identify issues, and implement practical solutions to improve efficiency.
Familiarity with plant equipment, preventive maintenance practices, and coordination with technical or maintenance teams.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple production lines and priorities.
Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams such as procurement, quality, and logistics.
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Dairy Technology, Food Technology, Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Prior experience in a production management or supervisory role within a manufacturing or dairy environment is highly beneficial.
Willingness to work on-site in Vinukonda and be available to address operational needs across different shifts if required.
