IT application operation specialist

Role Description The IT Application Operation Specialist is a part-time, remote role responsible for supporting and maintaining the club’s digital applications and tools. This role monitors the performance and availability of club-related platforms, troubleshoots technical issues, and coordinates with officers and members to resolve application and system problems. The specialist helps optimize business processes by recommending improvements to workflows, data tracking, and communication tools. Day-to-day tasks include application support, basic technical administration, documenting procedures, and ensuring that technology solutions align with the club’s operational and event needs. The role may also involve collaborating on new tool implementations and providing guidance to members on effective use of technology.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to diagnose issues, interpret data, and recommend improvements.
Candidates should possess Application Support and Technical Support skills to maintain systems, resolve user issues, and manage basic configurations.
Candidates should possess Information Technology skills to understand software platforms, system integrations, and security best practices.
Candidates should possess Business Process skills to streamline workflows and align technology solutions with club operations.
Additional beneficial qualifications include familiarity with collaboration tools (e.g., project management or CRM platforms), attention to detail, clear written communication, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
Experience in a student organization, IT help desk, or similar role, and coursework or certification in IT, information systems, or related fields are a plus.
