Role Description The Financial Controller is a full-time, remote role responsible for leading the company’s accounting and financial reporting functions. This role oversees the month-end and year-end close processes, prepares and reviews financial statements, and ensures compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies. Day-to-day tasks include managing the general ledger, supervising accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, monitoring cash flow, and supporting budgeting and forecasting efforts. The Financial Controller analyzes financial performance, identifies variances, and provides insights to leadership to support strategic decision-making. The role also involves improving internal controls, streamlining financial processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and supporting audits and regulatory reporting.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong accounting and finance skills, including experience with Financial Statements and Finance.
Candidates should possess robust Financial Reporting skills, with the ability to prepare, review, and interpret reports for leadership.
Candidates should possess solid Accounting skills, including general ledger management and adherence to accounting standards.
Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills to evaluate financial data, identify trends, and support decision-making.
Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or similar certification is preferred.
Experience in a controller or senior accounting role, ideally within a multi-site or service-based organization.
Proficiency with ERP and financial systems, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with internal controls and audit processes.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple priorities, and communicate clearly with non-financial stakeholders.
