Celestial Technology delivers industrial automation solutions including robotics and PLC-based programs. We are looking for a capable PLC Programmer to join our team and help us build reliable automation systems and support our technical workshops.
Role Summary
The PLC Programmer will design, program, test and commission PLC-based control systems for industrial automation projects.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop, test and debug PLC programs (ladder logic, structured text, function block diagram) as
per project and process requirements.
• Prepare I/O lists, control logic documents and program documentation.
• Configure and program HMI/SCADA screens and link them to PLC logic.
• Integrate PLCs with industrial robots, VFDs, servo drives, sensors and other field devices.
• Set up and configure industrial communication such as CC-Link IE Field, Profinet, EtherNet/IP,
Modbus and similar protocols.
• Perform FAT, SAT, installation checks and on-site commissioning.
• Diagnose and resolve PLC, I/O, wiring and communication faults, and handle alarms and error
recovery in the program.
• Maintain program backups and version control for all projects.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams and P&IDs.
Required Qualifications
• Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics or Automation
Engineering.
• 2–3 years of hands-on experience in PLC programming and commissioning.
Required Skills
• Strong working knowledge of at least two major PLC platforms such as Mitsubishi, Siemens and
Allen-Bradley.
• Proficiency in ladder logic, with working knowledge of structured text or function block diagram.
• Experience with HMI/SCADA development.
• Understanding of industrial networking and communication protocols.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and perform I/O testing against wiring details.
• Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Clear communication and the ability to document work properly.
