Role Description The Senior Admissions Counselor is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, responsible for overseeing and guiding the admissions process for candidates applying to roles and programs within the organization. This position manages candidate inquiries, conducts counseling sessions to explain offerings and opportunities, and supports applicants through each step of the admission or onboarding process. The counselor collaborates with internal teams to understand staffing needs, aligns candidate profiles with organizational requirements, and maintains accurate records of leads and conversions. Daily activities include meeting walk-in and scheduled candidates, handling phone and online queries, delivering clear information on eligibility and procedures, and following up to ensure a positive candidate experience. The role also involves meeting admission targets, preparing reports for management, and helping refine outreach and admissions strategies.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Interpersonal Communication and Communication skills to build trust and convey information clearly to diverse applicants and stakeholders.
Candidates should possess solid Customer Service skills to respond promptly to inquiries, resolve concerns, and maintain a professional, applicant-centered approach.
Candidates should possess Sales skills to convert inquiries into successful admissions, meet targets, and support outreach and promotional activities.
Candidates should possess Education-related knowledge or experience to explain program or role requirements, eligibility criteria, and career pathways accurately.
Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Education, Counseling, or a related field are beneficial.
Prior experience in admissions, counseling, recruitment, or customer-facing roles, preferably in services or facilities management, is an advantage.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple candidates and deadlines efficiently are important.
Proficiency with basic computer applications and CRM or admissions tracking systems is beneficial.
