Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Siliguri. The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial transactions, including bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations. The role involves preparing and reviewing financial statements, maintaining general ledger entries, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities. The Accountant will help ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, taxation rules, and internal policies, while assisting with audits and financial reporting. The position also includes supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, monitoring cash flow, and providing timely financial insights to management.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong bookkeeping and general ledger management skills, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation.
Candidates should possess skills in financial reporting and analysis, including preparation of financial statements, variance analysis, and support for budgeting and forecasting.
Candidates should possess knowledge of relevant accounting standards, taxation principles, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Candidates should possess proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheet tools, and be comfortable working with financial data and documentation.
Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Candidates should possess effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Relevant academic qualification such as a degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field is preferred; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMA, or equivalent) are an advantage.
Prior experience in an accounting or finance role, especially in an on-site environment, is beneficial.
