Associate Software Enginer

Role Description The Associate Software Engineer role at Fix-Gap Consults is a part-time remote position focused on supporting the development and maintenance of software solutions for internal and client-facing projects. Day-to-day tasks include assisting with back-end web development, writing and testing clean, efficient code, and contributing to the design and implementation of new features. The role involves collaborating with senior engineers to troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and ensure code quality through reviews and documentation. The Associate Software Engineer will also participate in technical discussions, follow established development processes, and learn best practices in modern software engineering.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Computer Science and Software Development principles.
Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
Experience or coursework in Back-End Web Development using common frameworks and tools.
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
Ability to analyze requirements, write clear technical documentation, and follow coding standards.
Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn from feedback.
Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
Currently pursuing or having a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
