Role Description The Director role at Virtual Guru Edu Limited is a full-time, on-site position based in Coimbatore South. The Director will oversee overall business strategy and operations, including setting organizational goals, managing budgets, and ensuring alignment with the company’s mission in maritime and digital education. Responsibilities include leading and mentoring cross-functional teams, driving technology and product initiatives, and fostering partnerships with educational institutions and industry stakeholders. The Director will monitor performance metrics, ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations, and promote continuous improvement in processes, platforms, and learner outcomes. This role also involves representing the organization at key events, contributing to long-term planning, and supporting sustainable growth.
Qualifications
Proven leadership and people management skills, with experience directing cross-functional teams and mentoring staff.
Strong strategic planning and business management capabilities, including budgeting, resource allocation, and performance monitoring.
Experience in education technology, digital platforms, or IT services, preferably within higher education or specialized training sectors.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills for working with internal teams, partners, and external institutions.
Ability to drive innovation and change management, particularly in digital transformation and technology adoption.
Relevant academic background, such as a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, management, education, IT, or a related field.
Demonstrated ability to work on-site in a dynamic environment, with strong organizational and decision-making skills.
Prior experience at a senior management or director level in an educational or technology-focused organization is highly beneficial.
