Manual Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented Manual QA Engineer to join our team in Ahmedabad. The role involves testing web and application-based software to identify defects, validate functionality, and ensure the overall quality of software releases.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in manual testing, a strong understanding of software testing methodologies, and the ability to collaborate effectively with developers, business analysts, project managers, and other team members. The candidate should also possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute detailed manual test cases based on business and functional requirements.
Perform functional, regression, smoke, and System Integration Testing (SIT).
Conduct end-to-end testing to validate complete workflows across web and application-based software.
Perform API testing using tools such as Postman to validate backend services.
Conduct cross-browser and cross-platform testing to ensure compatibility.
Identify, log, and track defects using tools such as Jira or Trello, with clear descriptions, screenshots, and supporting documentation.
Re-test resolved defects and perform regression testing before releases.
Collaborate closely with developers, project managers, business analysts, and technical leads to ensure timely and high-quality software delivery.
Participate in requirement analysis and prepare effective test scenarios and test cases.
Maintain test documentation, reports, and other QA artifacts.
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and coordinate with stakeholders when required.
Required Skills
Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
Hands-on experience in functional and regression testing.
Experience writing clear and comprehensive test cases and test scenarios.
Good understanding of the defect lifecycle and experience with bug-tracking tools.
Basic experience with API testing; experience with Postman is preferred.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Education: B.Tech, M Tech, BCA, MCA or relevant experience.
Experience: 2-5 years of experience in manual testing.
CTC: 5 LPA to 7 LPA
