Role Description The Facade Engineer will be responsible for the design, analysis, and coordination of building facades for a variety of projects, ensuring performance, safety, and compliance with relevant codes and standards. Day-to-day tasks include developing façade concepts, preparing detailed drawings and specifications, conducting structural and performance assessments, and reviewing shop drawings and technical submissions from vendors and contractors. The role involves close collaboration with architects, structural engineers, MEP teams, and project managers to integrate façade solutions with the overall building envelope and project design intent. The Facade Engineer will also support site inspections, quality checks, and resolution of technical issues during construction and installation. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills related to façade and building envelope, including Building Envelope, Facade Design, and Facade.
Candidates should possess skills in structural analysis and engineering, including Structural Engineering and related design principles.
Candidates should possess skills in building performance and environmental considerations, including Building Physics and related simulation or analysis tools.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
Experience in façade engineering or building envelope design, preferably on commercial, high-rise, or mixed-use projects.
Proficiency with relevant design and analysis software (e.g., AutoCAD/Revit, structural analysis tools, façade-specific software) and strong technical drawing skills.
Understanding of local and international building codes, standards, and best practices related to facades and building envelopes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and capability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams on-site.
