Job Summary
The Optometrist is responsible for conducting eye examinations, identifying vision problems, prescribing corrective lenses, and providing appropriate eye care guidance to patients.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct eye examinations and vision tests.
Perform refraction and prescribe corrective lenses.
Identify vision problems and refer patients to ophthalmologists when required.
Assist patients in selecting suitable spectacles and contact lenses.
Explain eye test results and provide basic eye care advice.
Operate and maintain optometry equipment.
Maintain accurate patient records and prescriptions.
Coordinate with ophthalmologists and other hospital staff.
Ensure quality patient care and a good patient experience.
Required Qualification
Bsc.Optometry
Required Skills
Knowledge of optometry and refraction.
Good communication and patient counselling skills.
Ability to operate eye testing equipment.
Patient care and problem-solving skills.
Teamwork and coordination.
Attention to detail and professionalism.
