About us
We're building two connected veterinary technology businesses.
Vets Compared connects pet owners looking for veterinary care with veterinary practices. We already generate enquiries from pet owners and want to help practices turn that demand into new customers and lasting relationships.
Vetrics is a new generation of veterinary practice software designed to help owners build more efficient, commercially successful practices and deliver better customer experiences.
We're building both businesses with a particular commitment to supporting independent veterinary practices.
The opportunity
We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people, understands veterinary businesses and can turn real customer demand into valuable commercial relationships.
This isn't a traditional cold-calling sales role.
You'll approach practices with useful information about the demand we're already seeing in their area. Your job is to demonstrate value, build trust and help practices benefit from our services.
You'll work directly with the founder and have considerable autonomy in developing our commercial approach.
What you'll do
- Engage veterinary practice owners and managers by telephone, email, video and in person.
- Use existing pet owner demand and lead activity to start relevant conversations.
- Build relationships with independent practices and veterinary groups.
- Help practices understand and activate the opportunities available through Vets Compared.
- Identify appropriate opportunities to introduce Vetrics.
- Attend veterinary conferences, exhibitions and selected practice meetings.
- Develop effective outreach and follow-up processes.
- Maintain accurate records of commercial activity and results.
- Feed practice insights back into our product and marketing teams.
What we're looking for
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
- Experience in the veterinary industry, veterinary technology, or a closely related B2B sector.
- Commercial judgement and an ability to explain value without relying on aggressive sales tactics.
- Confidence approaching practice owners and senior decision-makers.
- Good organisational skills and independent working habits.
- Comfort using CRM systems, AI tools and sales automation.
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
Experience running or managing a veterinary practice would be an advantage.
What success looks like
You build a growing network of veterinary practices that trust us, actively use our services and see measurable commercial value.
We'll judge success by meaningful practice engagement, customer activation and commercial results, not just the volume of calls you make.
What we offer
- £40,000 base salary.
- £12,000 annual target commission, with a clear commission plan.
- Meaningful equity option opportunity.
- Remote-first working and flexible hours.
- Direct access to the founder.
- The opportunity to shape our veterinary partnerships operation from an early stage.
How to apply
Send your CV or LinkedIn profile and a short note describing a commercial relationship you've developed successfully, what made it work and why the veterinary sector interests you.
We value evidence of your work more than a polished cover letter.
