ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for a motivated intern to help automate the testing of our company's web-based software product.
Our QA team currently tests the product manually. We want to introduce automated UI testing using modern browser automation tools and AI-powered coding assistants.
The intern will work with our QA team to understand existing manual test scenarios, use AI tools to generate automation scripts, execute tests, debug failures, and build a reusable foundation for automated testing.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Understand the product's web UI and existing manual test cases.
• Identify repetitive and important test scenarios suitable for automation.
• Use AI coding tools to generate and improve automated test scripts.
• Develop browser-based UI automation using Playwright.
• Execute automated tests, investigate failures, and correct scripts.
• Work with the QA team to verify that automated tests produce correct results.
• Document test scripts and instructions for running and maintaining them.
WHO SHOULD APPLY?
• Basic programming knowledge in JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, Python, or another relevant language.
• Interest in software testing, browser automation, and AI-assisted coding.
• Experience with ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, or similar AI tools, or willingness to learn.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues rather than blindly accepting AI-generated code.
• Willingness to learn new tools and work closely with the QA team.
• Availability to work full-time from our Bengaluru office every working day.
SELECTION PREFERENCE
Candidates with hands-on web UI test automation experience, particularly using AI tools.
Candidates with good programming skills and practical AI-assisted coding experience.
Candidates with sound programming fundamentals and willingness to learn.
Experience with Playwright, Selenium, or similar tools is an advantage but not mandatory.
TOOLS AND TECHNOLOGIES
Preferred Automation Framework: Playwright
Preferred Language: TypeScript
AI Coding Assistants: ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, or similar approved tools.
INTERNSHIP DETAILS
Stipend: ₹25,000 per month
Initial Duration: One month, extendable up to three months based on project requirements and progress.
Work Arrangement: Full-time, work from office in Bengaluru.
