About the role
We’re looking for someone who enjoys connecting with people, organising work and helping ideas become real projects. You’ll work closely with the founding team to turn our dreams and ideas into workable plans, coordinate with the people involved and keep projects moving. Building relationships is central to this role—approaching guests and collaborators, explaining our work, understanding their interests and maintaining clear, thoughtful communication.
You’ll help organise events, production, schedules and travel across our projects. We value your ability to communicate, plan and take responsibility.
What you’ll be doing
Build relationships: Research and reach out to potential guests, collaborators, venues and organisations. Represent Disblur in conversations, build rapport and follow up towards agreed next steps.
Plan projects: Break ideas into tasks, timelines and practical requirements. Keep track of responsibilities, progress and decisions that need attention.
Coordinate production and activities: Help organise interviews, documentary shoots, workshops and events, including locations, freelancers, equipment and permissions.
Manage schedules: Arrange meetings and project activities, maintain calendars and keep everyone informed of plans and changes.
Organise travel: Plan itineraries, transport and accommodation within agreed budgets. Travel with the founder and collaborators when projects require it.
Keep information organised: Maintain contact lists, meeting notes, project documents and expense records.
Support consistent progress: Help us maintain a steady working rhythm through clear priorities, timely follow-ups and realistic commitments.
Who we’re looking for
You communicate clearly, listen carefully and feel comfortable speaking with new people. You enjoy exploring new places, travelling and connecting with people. You can take an idea, ask useful questions and figure out the practical steps needed to move it forward.
We’d like to work with you if you can
Take initiative, own your tasks and follow through.
Build respectful, professional relationships with different kinds of people.
Manage several tasks while keeping priorities clear.
Notice potential delays and communicate them early.
Adapt when plans change and help find practical solutions.
Work comfortably with calendars, spreadsheets, shared documents and task-management tools.
Bring curiosity about people, ideas and creative work, and a willingness to travel.
Experience in a startup, project coordination, partnerships, client servicing, community work or events would be useful. A particular degree or film background isn’t essential. We’re interested in examples of how you’ve organised work and helped bring something to completion.
