Role Description The Financial Planning Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, responsible for driving comprehensive financial planning solutions for individual and group clients. This role involves assessing client financial goals, risk profiles, and life-stage needs, and recommending appropriate insurance, savings, and investment products from HDFC Life’s portfolio. The Financial Planning Manager will prepare and review financial plans, monitor performance against client objectives, and provide regular updates and adjustments as needed. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing financial data, coordinating with sales teams and Financial Consultants, supporting branch-level business targets, and ensuring adherence to regulatory and company guidelines. The role also requires maintaining strong client relationships through proactive communication, needs-based recommendations, and high service standards.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Financial Planning and Finance skills, including the ability to design and evaluate holistic financial plans.
Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, assess risk, and support data-driven recommendations.
Candidates should possess familiarity with Investments and related instruments to align product offerings with client objectives.
Candidates should possess Sales capabilities, including relationship-building, consultative selling, and achieving agreed business targets.
Relevant educational background in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CFP, CFA level coursework) are an advantage.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly and build trust with diverse clients.
Proficiency in MS Excel and basic financial modeling tools, with attention to detail and high standards of accuracy.
Ability to work collaboratively with branch teams, Financial Consultants, and cross-functional stakeholders, while adhering to ethical and regulatory norms.
