Employment Type: Initial project-based / performance-based engagement, with potential transition to a full-time role
Location: Kolar / Bengaluru, Karnataka (flexibility to be discussed)
Role Overview
We are seeking a hands-on technology leader to take end-to-end ownership of product development, IT infrastructure, hosting, deployment, production operations and technical delivery. You will lead junior developers, build digital solutions for yaxperience and its clients, and help establish a scalable technology development practice.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Full-Stack Development: Design, develop and deliver responsive websites, web applications, backend APIs, databases, and mobile applications using appropriate web, cross-platform or native technologies.
Product Architecture & Delivery: Translate business requirements into technical solutions and manage the complete development lifecycle, including estimation, design coordination, coding, testing, deployment and maintenance.
IT Infrastructure & Hosting: Independently set up and manage VPS/cloud servers, Linux environments, domains, DNS, SSL certificates, web servers, databases, application processes and hosting configurations.
DevOps & Release Management: Establish Git/GitHub workflows, CI/CD pipelines, development/UAT/production environments, controlled deployments, versioning and rollback procedures.
Production Support & Reliability: Monitor live applications, troubleshoot server and application failures, analyse logs, resolve incidents, optimise performance and ensure reliable business operations.
Security & Data Protection: Manage access controls, credentials, firewalls, security updates, database permissions, automated backups, recovery testing and disaster recovery procedures.
Third-Party Integrations: Implement and maintain payment gateways, authentication, maps, email/SMS/WhatsApp services, cloud storage, notifications and external APIs.
Team Leadership: Mentor junior developers, allocate tasks, review code, maintain development standards and ensure quality, documentation and timely delivery.
Client & Business Engagement: Understand client requirements, recommend suitable technology solutions, estimate project effort and cost, and oversee delivery and post-launch support.
Technology Strategy: Build reusable components, evaluate emerging technologies and AI-assisted development tools, manage infrastructure costs and contribute to yaxperience's technology roadmap and business growth.
Required Skills and Experience
Strong hands-on experience in frontend, backend, API and database development.
Proficiency in technologies such as React.js, Next.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, Express.js and MongoDB or equivalent technologies.
Practical experience with mobile application development using React Native, Flutter or native iOS/Android technologies.
Proven hands-on experience in server administration, VPS/cloud hosting, deployment, DevOps, production support and troubleshooting.
Working knowledge of Linux, Git/GitHub, CI/CD, networking basics, DNS, SSL, application security, monitoring, backups and disaster recovery.
Demonstrated ability to independently deliver production-ready applications and lead a small development team.
Strong problem-solving, communication, planning and ownership skills.
Compensation & Growth Opportunity
The initial engagement will follow a mutually agreed project-based or performance-based compensation structure with clearly defined deliverables and payment terms. As the business and revenue grow, the role may transition to full-time salaried employment. Long-term technology leadership and any formal partnership, profit-sharing or equity arrangements may be discussed separately by mutual agreement.
