Software Tester

Role Description This is a part-time remote role for a Software Tester at Global Opportunities Hub (GOH). The Software Tester will design, execute, and document test cases to validate platform features and ensure a reliable user experience. Responsibilities include performing functional, regression, and exploratory testing, identifying defects, and collaborating with developers and product stakeholders to clarify requirements and support timely fixes. The role also involves tracking test results, contributing to quality assurance processes, and suggesting improvements to enhance performance, usability, and accessibility. The Software Tester will work closely with a distributed team, using online tools to report issues and participate in regular reviews of platform releases.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Software Testing and Quality Assurance, with practical experience in validating web or digital platforms.
Ability to design and maintain clear, structured Test Cases, including test plans and test documentation.
Hands-on experience with Test Execution, including functional, regression, and exploratory testing.
Excellent Analytical Skills to diagnose issues, interpret results, and provide clear, concise defect reports.
Familiarity with bug-tracking or issue-management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, GitHub Issues) is beneficial.
Understanding of basic SDLC and QA processes, and ability to collaborate effectively with remote development teams.
Strong written communication skills, with the ability to document findings and communicate technical details in an accessible way.
Relevant education or training in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or a related field is an advantage.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a remote, mission-driven environment.
