Role Description The Data Science Trainer will design and deliver engaging online lessons that introduce and explain core data science concepts, mathematical foundations, and applied problem-solving techniques. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning curricula and learning activities, preparing teaching materials and assessments, conducting live remote classes, and providing individualized feedback and support to learners. The role involves collaborating with the academy’s academic team to update content in line with current industry and research trends, monitoring learner progress, and maintaining clear documentation of outcomes. This is a contract role and is fully remote, requiring reliable online availability and professional communication with diverse learner groups.
Qualifications
Strong background in Science Education with the ability to connect foundational concepts to data science applications.
Academic or teaching experience in Physics, emphasizing analytical thinking and quantitative reasoning.
Solid proficiency in Mathematics, including probability, statistics, and linear algebra relevant to data science.
Status as a Qualified Teacher or demonstrable experience in formal or informal instruction, workshops, or mentoring.
Proficiency in Lesson Planning, curriculum design, and structuring learning paths for varied skill levels.
Comfort with online teaching platforms, digital collaboration tools, and remote delivery of interactive classes.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical topics clearly to learners from diverse backgrounds.
Prior exposure to data science, AI, or programming (e.g., Python, R, or relevant tools) is highly beneficial.
Relevant degree in Science, Engineering, Education, or a related field is preferred.
