Role Description The Quality Engineer role at Tata Communis is a full-time, on-site position based in Jamshedpur. The Quality Engineer will monitor and evaluate product and process quality, perform inspections and audits, and ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations. Responsibilities include analyzing quality data, identifying root causes of defects, recommending corrective and preventive actions, and supporting cross-functional teams in implementing improvements. The role also involves maintaining documentation, participating in reviews of new or updated processes, and collaborating with production, design, and supply chain teams to enhance overall quality performance. The Quality Engineer is expected to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support training on quality practices across the organization.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Quality Engineering and Product Quality.
Candidates should possess practical experience in Quality Control and Quality Assurance.
Candidates should possess capabilities in Quality Management, including process improvement and documentation.
Relevant technical degree or diploma in engineering or a related field.
Knowledge of quality standards and methodologies (e.g., ISO, Six Sigma, Lean principles) is beneficial.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and data, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams on-site in Jamshedpur.
Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments is an advantage.
