Role Description This full-time remote WordPress Developer role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining high-performing WordPress websites for a variety of clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include building custom themes and plugins, implementing responsive layouts, optimizing site speed and performance, and ensuring cross-browser and cross-device compatibility. The developer collaborates with designers, marketers, and project managers to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions, integrate third-party tools, and support ongoing website updates. The role also involves troubleshooting issues, maintaining code quality and security, and contributing to continuous improvement of development workflows and best practices.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Front-End Development skills, including responsive web design, HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript frameworks relevant to WordPress.
Candidates should possess solid Back-End Web Development skills, including PHP, WordPress theme and plugin development, and familiarity with APIs and database integration.
Candidates should possess Web Design and UX fundamentals, with the ability to implement pixel-accurate designs and ensure intuitive, accessible user experiences.
Candidates should possess comprehensive Web Development skills, including version control (Git), performance optimization, security best practices, and debugging.
Relevant experience with modern page builders, WooCommerce, and integrating marketing tools (analytics, tracking, CRM) is beneficial.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
Strong communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively in a remote team, and a track record of delivering projects on time and to specification are important.
