Role Description The Cargo Operations Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. This role is responsible for coordinating daily cargo movements, including scheduling, tracking shipments, and ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with company and regulatory requirements. The specialist works with internal teams, transport partners, and clients to manage loading and unloading, resolve operational issues, and maintain up-to-date records in internal systems. Key tasks include monitoring cargo status, handling exceptions or delays, supporting billing and reporting, and communicating clear updates to stakeholders. The role also contributes to process improvements to enhance efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction in cargo operations.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to monitor cargo data, identify issues, and support operational decision-making.
Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and clients, and to provide clear status updates.
Candidates should possess Sales-related abilities to support cargo service inquiries, promote solutions, and assist in maintaining client relationships.
Candidates should possess Operations Management skills to oversee daily cargo workflows, ensure timely execution, and uphold quality and safety standards.
Candidates should possess Project Management skills to organize tasks, manage timelines, and support implementation of process improvements.
Relevant experience in logistics, transportation, freight forwarding, or supply chain operations is beneficial.
Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru with attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving capabilities.
Proficiency with basic office software and cargo or logistics management systems is an advantage.
A diploma or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, business, or a related field is preferred.
