Role Description This is a Part Time/full-time, on-site Insurance Agent role based in Mumbai. The Insurance Agent will engage with customers to understand their insurance needs, explain product options, and recommend suitable policies. Day-to-day responsibilities include generating leads, following up on inquiries, preparing quotes, and assisting customers with policy applications and renewals. The role involves maintaining accurate records, coordinating with underwriting and support teams, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The Insurance Agent will also provide ongoing customer service, handle basic claims-related queries, and support marketing and sales initiatives to grow the client base.
Qualifications
Strong Conversation skills, with the ability to explain policy features and benefits clearly.
Experience or knowledge in Insurance Brokerage and Insurance, including working with multiple insurers and product lines.
Basic understanding of Finance to support clients in evaluating coverage, premiums, and long-term value.
Excellent Customer Service skills, including active listening, empathy, and effective follow-up.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in English; local language skills are an advantage.
Ability to work on-site in Mumbai, manage time effectively, and handle multiple customer interactions each day.
Comfort with using computers and digital platforms for managing leads, policies, and documentation.
Prior experience in insurance, banking, or financial services is preferred but not mandatory.
Minimum educational qualification is 10+2; a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field is a plus.
