Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a CCTV Technician based in Delhi, India. The CCTV Technician will install, configure, and test CCTV cameras, DVR/NVR systems, and related security equipment at client locations. Responsibilities include running and terminating cables, mounting devices, setting up network connectivity for surveillance systems, and ensuring proper video recording and playback. The role involves diagnosing technical issues, performing routine maintenance, replacing faulty components, and documenting work performed. The technician will interact with clients to understand requirements, provide basic user training on system operation, and follow safety standards and company procedures during all field work.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of CCTV systems, including cameras, DVR/NVR units, power supplies, and related accessories.
Experience with cable routing and termination (coaxial, Ethernet), basic networking for IP cameras, and system configuration.
Ability to troubleshoot hardware and connectivity issues, perform repairs, and carry out regular preventive maintenance.
Familiarity with tools and equipment used for installation (drills, testers, crimping tools) and adherence to safety practices.
Basic understanding of electrical concepts and low-voltage systems relevant to CCTV installations.
Good communication and customer service skills for interacting with clients on-site and explaining system operation clearly.
Capability to read simple technical diagrams or installation layouts and follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
Willingness to work in the field, travel to different sites within Delhi, and handle physically demanding tasks such as ladder work.
Prior experience as a CCTV or security systems technician is preferred; experience in related technical roles will be an advantage.
Relevant technical diploma or certification in electronics, electrical, or IT/Networking is beneficial.
