About us
Established in 1981, Jai Bharat Gum & Chemicals Ltd. is part of the Jai Bharat Group, a Government of India-recognized Three Star Export House. We manufacture and export guar products and supply spices, oilseeds, pulses and grains to buyers in the Middle East and other international markets.
The role
We are hiring a hands-on buyer to build and run direct sourcing for our export business. You will buy from processing plants, cleaning and hulling units and mandi suppliers, so that our export prices are among the most competitive in the market. You will report directly to the Director.
What you will do
• Buy sesame seeds, peanuts, kabuli chickpeas, cumin, coriander and other agri commodities in bulk, directly from processors and mandi suppliers
• Track daily prices and crop arrivals in the main origin markets and advise on when and where to buy
• Negotiate price, payment terms and delivery schedules
• Develop and evaluate suppliers across Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and other producing regions
• Ensure export-grade quality: sampling, inspection, processing supervision and container stuffing
• Coordinate dispatch to port with our logistics and documentation team
What you must have
• 5+ years of bulk procurement of agricultural commodities
• Export procurement experience (mandatory): you have bought to export specifications and handled quality and loading at plant level
• Personal purchase experience in sesame seeds (natural and hulled), peanuts, kabuli chickpeas, cumin and coriander
• Existing working relationships with processors, plants, brokers and mandi traders
• Ready to work from our Gurugram office and travel to sourcing markets as required; candidates willing to relocate are welcome
