About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated Inventory Supervisor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will oversee inventory management processes, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of stock levels, and facilitating seamless procurement and distribution of parts and materials. This role requires a proactive individual capable of working closely with various departments, vendors, and external partners to maintain optimal inventory levels. The Inventory Supervisor will play a vital role in controlling costs, reducing discrepancies, and supporting the overall efficiency of our maintenance operations. Qualifications
Applicants should possess an associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or demonstrate an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in reading and interpreting technical instructions are essential. Candidates must have the ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with team members, vendors, and management. Experience with inventory tracking systems and familiarity with procurement processes are highly desirable. The role requires physical capability to handle lifting of over 50 pounds, work in noisy factory environments, and perform tasks that involve reaching, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
Responsibilities
Oversee the integrity of inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels and timely restocking of items.
Process repairs for stock, manage storage, timestamp repair parts, and deliver components to technicians for repairs.
Control inventory and materials from vendors within the established departmental budget; analyze inventory records and suggest adjustments to reorder levels for optimal management.
Manage requisitions, monitor stock levels, and enter order data into tracking systems; expedite late orders and ensure timely delivery of parts.
Maintain a cross-reference system for efficient usage and track nonconforming parts for quality assurance.
Collaborate with department managers and supervisors to ensure inventory processes stay within budget and operational standards.
Assist in resolving inventory discrepancies, participate in semi-annual physical inventories, and work with accounting and auditors to ensure accuracy.
Source and evaluate vendors capable of supplying plant-level services, and oversee follow-up on past due orders to minimize delays.
Implement and maintain cost reduction initiatives, reporting results to management for continuous improvement.
Support customer service and operations teams with parts transactions and system support.
Handle warranty claims with OEMs for defective parts, ensuring proper documentation and resolution.
Participate in quality initiatives, continuously improving processes through quantitative monitoring and adherence to safety procedures.
