Role Description The Interior Draftsman at Kitchen Wale is a full-time, on-site role based in the Mohali district. The person in this role prepares detailed 2D and 3D drawings for modular kitchens, wardrobes, and interior layouts, ensuring accuracy in measurements, elevations, and sections. Day-to-day responsibilities include translating design concepts into working drawings, coordinating with designers and site supervisors, and updating drawings based on client feedback and site conditions. The Interior Draftsman also creates cutting lists and detail drawings for production, checks drawings for feasibility, and supports estimation and installation teams with clear documentation. The role requires regular collaboration with the project team to maintain design standards, optimize space utilization, and meet project timelines.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong drafting skills, including proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar tools) and the ability to prepare accurate 2D and 3D drawings.
Candidates should possess practical interior layout and design understanding, including space planning, kitchen and wardrobe detailing, and familiarity with modular furniture systems.
Candidates should possess basic technical knowledge of materials, hardware, and construction methods used in interior and modular kitchen projects.
Candidates should possess good measurement, visualization, and detailing skills, with attention to accuracy and clarity in drawings and documentation.
Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with designers, site staff, vendors, and clients.
Candidates should possess organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain systematic drawing records.
Diploma or certificate in Interior Design, Architecture, Civil Draftsmanship, or a related field is preferred; prior experience in interior or modular kitchen drafting is an advantage.
