Technical Sales Engineer

We are seeking a results-driven, proactive Sales Executive based locally in the Rajapalayam region to drive business development, nurture OEM/end-user relationships, and expand our market presence across industrial accounts (textile mills, cement, paper, agro-industries, and general engineering).
The role involves field visits, understanding client technical requirements, and coordinating with technical support teams to close industrial equipment and power transmission deals.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify, map, and visit potential industrial clients and manufacturing units across the Rajapalayam and surrounding industrial belts.
Conduct regular customer visits to generate inquiries for industrial products (electric motors, gearboxes, mechanical drive components).
Coordinate technical seminars, customer demos, and joint client visits with manufacturer technical teams.
Prepare quotations, negotiate commercials, and follow up closely to convert leads into purchase orders.
Maintain timely and accurate daily visit reports (DVR), inquiry trackers, and customer interaction logs.
Track payment collections, order dispatches, and after-sales customer satisfaction.
Candidate Requirements
Location: Must be a native or permanent resident of Rajapalayam or nearby areas (Srivilliputhur, Sivakasi, Tenkasi) with deep familiarity with local industrial clusters.
Education: Diploma or B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering discipline (Science/Commerce graduates with strong industrial sales experience may also apply).
Experience: 2–5 years of proven experience in field sales or business development in industrial consumables, motors, gearboxes, automation, or mechanical components.
Mobility: Must possess a valid driving license and a two-wheeler for regular daily client visits.
Skills:
Strong verbal communication in Tamil (native fluency required) and working proficiency in English.
Good relationship-building skills with plant heads, maintenance managers, and purchase teams.
Basic proficiency in reporting tools, spreadsheets, and mobile reporting applications.
