As Yardi Developer & Report Writer on the Yardi team, your primary focus will be designing, developing, and maintaining custom Yardi reports, database procedures, and system integrations. You will partner with team members and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions, improve data accuracy, and eliminate manual work. The ideal candidate brings strong SQL development skills, hands-on experience with Yardi reporting and database structures, and the ability to take ownership of technical work from development through testing, deployment, and ongoing support.

Pay Range: $110k-125k
Responsibilities:
Yardi Reporting and Development
Design, develop, and maintain custom Yardi reports, including Yardi Spreadsheet Reporting (YSR) and SQL reports, based on specifications provided by the Enterprise Applications team and business stakeholders.
Develop and maintain stored procedures, triggers, and custom tables to automate business rules, enforce data requirements, and simplify recurring processes.
Translate business requirements into technical solutions, advising on feasibility, complexity, and alternative approaches, including when existing reports or functionality can meet the need.
Optimize report and query performance and validate results against source data before release.
Troubleshoot reporting discrepancies, database issues, and custom functionality, resolving problems internally where possible and coordinating with vendor support when needed.
Integrations and Process Automation
Build and maintain integrations, extract-transform-load (ETL) processes, and scheduled automations between Yardi and other systems in the Firm.
Monitor assigned interfaces and scheduled processes, investigate failures, and resolve issues to maintain reliable data flow.
Partner with team members and business stakeholders to identify manual or time-consuming processes and implement approved improvements.
Support reporting, integration, and development initiatives outside Yardi as priorities and capacity allow.
Project Delivery, Testing, and Documentation
Take ownership of assigned development projects, break work into tasks with target dates, and communicate progress, blockers, dependencies, and scope changes.
Coordinate user acceptance testing with project managers and business owners, incorporate feedback, and confirm that delivered solutions meet approved requirements.
Follow change management procedures and IT general controls, including testing in a non-production environment, obtaining required approvals and independent peer review, and documenting deployment evidence.
Maintain accurate project and ticket records, including time tracking and regular status updates.
Document report logic, database objects, parameters, security requirements, test cases, and deployment steps so other team members can support and maintain developed solutions.
Maintain a working knowledge of relevant Yardi products, modules, and updates, and recommend improvements affecting development, reporting, and integrations.
Serve as a technical resource for Yardi development and share knowledge that strengthens the team’s ability to resolve issues and support business users.
Requirements:
3 or more years of relevant experience in Yardi development, technical reporting, or closely related database and application development, including hands-on experience with Yardi Voyager.
Demonstrated experience developing custom Yardi reports using SQL and Yardi Spreadsheet Reporting (YSR).
Strong SQL development skills, including complex queries, stored procedures, database tables, troubleshooting and optimizing query performance.
Working knowledge of Yardi database structures and relationships, with the ability to trace report results to underlying transactions and source data.
Experience developing or maintaining ETL processes, system integrations, or scheduled data automations.
Ability to validate data, investigate discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement reliable solutions.
Working knowledge of software testing, quality assurance, change management, and technical documentation practices.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage concurrent assignments, communicate obstacles promptly, and deliver against agreed priorities and deadlines.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for reviewing, reconciling, and validating report output and data.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with business users, project managers, technical colleagues, and vendors.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, information systems, database management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
