Role Description The Wikipedia Expert Designer is a full-time remote role responsible for planning, creating, and maintaining Wikipedia content that accurately reflects Acclaim Theatrical LLC’s work and achievements in compliance with Wikipedia policies and guidelines. Day-to-day tasks include researching notable sources, drafting and structuring encyclopedic entries, designing page layout and sections for clarity, and monitoring edits and discussions related to the company’s pages. The role involves coordinating with internal stakeholders to verify information, ensuring neutrality and factual accuracy, and aligning Wikipedia content with broader digital presence and branding standards. The Wikipedia Expert Designer will also track changes in Wikipedia rules, address content flags or issues, and provide recommendations for improving visibility through reliable, policy-compliant references.
Qualifications
Strong experience with Wikipedia editing, page creation, and understanding of notability, verifiability, and neutrality policies.
Excellent research skills, including sourcing from reputable publications, industry databases, and independent references.
Advanced writing and editing abilities, with a focus on concise, neutral, and encyclopedic prose.
Familiarity with digital content design and layout, including structuring sections, infoboxes, and internal links for usability.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
Strong communication and collaboration skills for aligning content with internal stakeholders and obtaining approvals.
Knowledge of theatrical, entertainment, or creative industries is beneficial.
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, Design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
