About the Opportunity
Aberdeen Advisors is seeking an experienced SAP Production Planning (PP) Senior Consultant to support a nationwide SAP S/4HANA transformation across manufacturing facilities. The consultant will provide advanced functional expertise during site deployments, production readiness, go-live, and hypercare, ensuring manufacturing teams can successfully execute critical planning and production processes.
Responsibilities
Serve as the onsite SAP PP functional subject matter expert during implementation, deployment, and stabilization.
Support MRP, production planning, planned orders, production orders, capacity planning, and manufacturing execution processes.
Troubleshoot planning failures, production order errors, master-data defects, and material availability issues.
Analyze configuration issues involving MRP parameters, order types, production versions, BOMs, routings, work centers, and scheduling.
Support approved configuration corrections and validate changes through functional testing.
Coordinate SAP PP integration troubleshooting with MM, EWM, QM, and related functions.
Support business process validation, UAT, cutover, go-live, and hypercare activities.
Guide production planners, manufacturing supervisors, and Super Users through complex SAP issues.
Lead functional defect triage, root-cause analysis, and resolution coordination.
Document operational issues and support knowledge transfer to business and support teams.
Required Qualifications
Strong hands-on SAP PP functional consulting experience.
Deep understanding of production planning and manufacturing business processes.
Demonstrated experience configuring or troubleshooting SAP PP functionality.
Experience supporting complex SAP implementations, site deployments, or production environments.
Ability to resolve cross-functional manufacturing process issues independently.
Strong communication and onsite stakeholder-support skills.
Willingness to travel approximately 80% nationwide.
Required Skills

Preferred Qualifications
7+ years of relevant SAP PP functional consulting experience.
SAP S/4HANA PP implementation and go-live support experience.
Multiple plant deployments or manufacturing rollout assignments.
Experience with MRP, production orders, BOMs, routings, production versions, and capacity planning.
Integration experience with MM, EWM, or QM.
Experience in discrete manufacturing environments.
Engagement Details
Contract-based national SAP S/4HANA deployment supporting multiple manufacturing locations.
Approved travel expenses are covered under program policy.
Dates and assignment duration will be confirmed.
