Role Description
Emerzian Law Group is looking to hire an experienced labor and employment law attorney with experience at a large or mid-size CA management-side labor and employment law firm to support Emerzian Law Group in managing its L/E practice. Our client base includes non-profits, private business, and public agencies, and includes a robust workplace investigation practice. Minimum one-year of experience with the firm before partnership. Full or part-time work will be considered.
Qualifications
Experience advising public and private sector employers with management-side labor and employment law, including: leave rights, accommodations, wage and hour, worker classification, union rights, unfair labor practice charges, performance management, high risk disciplinary action and terminations, offers of severance, and discrimination/harassment response
Experience with advising on and/or directly conducting workplace investigations for public and private employers (experience with school districts, community colleges, and higher education preferred)
Excellent communication, client advocacy, and presentation skills
Ability to manage multiple cases or projects effectively and meet deadlines
Ability to supervise less experienced attorneys, and to provide mentorship and training.
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
License to practice law in California
At least three years of private sector law firm experience in labor and employment law is required.

Pay range is $105,000 - $200,000+ DOE
