About the Opportunity
SWYN is seeking an experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) for a growing business group with interests in logistics, coal and solar energy. The group is expanding its existing bulk logistics operations into a standalone transport business and is looking for a strong operational leader to drive this growth.
Key Responsibilities
✔️ Lead day-to-day operations across logistics, coal and solar businesses.
✔️ Build and scale the standalone logistics and transport business, focusing on fleet operations, transporter networks, dispatch, turnaround time and profitability.
✔️ Ensure adherence to established workflows, operational processes and internal systems.
✔️ Identify operational bottlenecks, analyse root causes and implement effective solutions.
✔️ Lead teams, manage vendor and transporter relationships, resolve escalations and drive accountability.
✔️ Identify automation opportunities and collaborate with technology teams to streamline workflows.
✔️ Develop MIS reports, operational KPIs and performance reviews for the promoters.
Ideal Candidate Profile
🔹 20+ years of experience in operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role such as GM Operations, VP Operations or COO.
🔹 Strong experience in logistics, road transport, fleet management, Full Truckload (FTL) operations or bulk transportation.
🔹 Experience in setting up or scaling logistics operations will be a significant advantage.
🔹 Excellent analytical, problem-solving and process-management skills.
🔹 Proven ability to lead teams, manage operational challenges and enforce accountability.
🔹 Experience working with technology teams on process automation and workflow implementation.
🔹 Exposure to coal, bulk commodities or solar operations is an added advantage.
