About the Position
SurfMyAds is looking for an experienced Director of Affiliate Partnerships & Business Development with strong relationships across the UK affiliate marketing industry, a proven ability to develop successful partnerships, and a genuine interest in helping grow our UK business.
Our UK business focuses primarily on Codes.co.uk and Discountcode.com, two voucher code and online savings websites that help British consumers discover promotional offers and discounts from leading retailers. Launched in 2008, Codes.co.uk is one of the UK's longest-established voucher code websites, originally developed by our US-based parent company.
Founded in Santa Barbara, California, in 2007, SurfMyAds.com, Inc. is a privately owned, US-based digital publishing company specialising in affiliate marketing, voucher codes, and online consumer savings.
Today, the company is headquartered in Palo Alto, Northern California, where its founder and CEO is based. SurfMyAds operates with a small, experienced international team and has recently established SurfMyAds UK Ltd, a wholly owned UK subsidiary, to strengthen its presence in the British market.
We are particularly interested in candidates who have previously worked at Awin, Tradedoubler, Webgains, CJ UK, Partnerize UK or similar UK affiliate networks, especially those who have developed strong relationships with advertisers, retailers, agencies, and publishers.
This is a senior, hands-on position within a small and entrepreneurial organisation. The successful candidate will work directly with the founder and CEO, enjoy considerable autonomy, and have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our UK business.
What You'll Be Doing
Proactively identify and develop strategic partnerships with UK retailers, brands, affiliate networks, and digital marketing agencies.
Strengthen and expand existing retailer relationships across Codes.co.uk and Discountcode.com.
Negotiate improved commission rates, exclusive voucher codes, tenancy placements, sponsored promotions, and other commercial opportunities.
Identify and develop new revenue streams through paid placements, premium promotional campaigns, and strategic retailer partnerships.
Build and maintain relationships with affiliate networks including Awin, Tradedoubler, Webgains, CJ, Rakuten Advertising, Partnerize, and other relevant platforms.
Represent SurfMyAds at UK affiliate marketing conferences, networking events, and industry meetings, including PI LIVE and other relevant events.
Identify new market opportunities and commercial trends within the UK voucher code, cashback, loyalty, and performance marketing sectors.
Contribute to the development of SurfMyAds UK Ltd's local operations and long-term business strategy.
Work directly with the Founder and CEO on strategic partnerships and business development initiatives.
Support the establishment and ongoing development of SurfMyAds UK Ltd's local operations, including coordination with UK-based accountants, professional advisers, and relevant service providers.
Help oversee the UK subsidiary's day-to-day business operations, including coordination with professional advisers, employment administration, record-keeping, and compliance with applicable UK business requirements.
What We're Looking For
Minimum 5 years of experience in affiliate marketing, partnerships, account management, or business development, preferably within the UK market.
Previous employment at Awin, Tradedoubler, Webgains, CJ, Rakuten Advertising, Partnerize, or a comparable affiliate network is strongly preferred.
Established professional relationships with UK retailers, advertisers, affiliate networks, agencies, or major affiliate publishers.
Proven ability to negotiate commercial agreements, develop partnerships, and generate measurable revenue growth.
Strong understanding of the UK affiliate marketing ecosystem and the commercial relationships between advertisers, networks, agencies, and publishers.
Experience with voucher code websites, cashback platforms, loyalty programmes, or other performance marketing publishers is highly desirable.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
Proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable independently developing relationships, identifying new opportunities, and negotiating successful partnerships.
Comfortable operating within a small, founder-led company rather than a large corporate environment.
