Director Corporate Planning

Role Description The Director Corporate Planning at Garretto - Invest in Brazil is a full-time remote role responsible for leading the organization’s strategic and financial planning processes. The role includes developing and updating multi-year business plans, coordinating annual budgeting cycles, and aligning financial targets with corporate strategy. The director will analyze market trends, investment opportunities, and internal performance data to support executive decision-making and optimize resource allocation. Daily activities involve preparing forecasting models, reviewing financial reports, leading cross-functional planning meetings, and presenting insights and recommendations to senior leadership. The role also oversees the development of planning tools and frameworks, ensures adherence to financial governance standards, and mentors team members involved in business and financial planning.
Qualifications
Strong business planning and strategic planning skills, with experience designing and managing corporate planning frameworks.
Robust financial planning and finance expertise, including forecasting, financial modeling, and investment analysis.
Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
Demonstrated proficiency in budgeting, cost management, and performance tracking across multiple business units.
Proven experience in a senior planning or finance leadership role, preferably within investment, financial services, or related sectors.
Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet and financial analysis tools; familiarity with planning and BI platforms is an advantage.
Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging stakeholders at all organizational levels in a remote work environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA, MBA) is a plus.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and lead cross-functional initiatives in a distributed, global setting.
