Junior Software Engineer

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Software Engineer to join our team in Chennai. In this role, you will contribute directly to designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services that power AI applications.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain high-performance backend services using Java (Spring Boot).
Build, integrate, and document RESTful APIs and microservices supporting AI operations.
Write efficient, well-tested, and maintainable code adhering to software engineering best practices.
Participate in peer code reviews, debugging sessions, and system performance optimizations.
Quickly pick up, learn, and contribute to tasks and services built on Python as project demands evolve.
Qualifications & Skills
Core Fundamentals: Strong foundational knowledge of Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and basic systems design concepts.
Backend Expertise: Hands-on experience with Java and the Spring Boot framework; practical understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
Database & Web Concepts: Knowledge of back-end web development, RESTful web services, SQL/NoSQL databases, and server-side application architecture.
Tools & Workflows: Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and modern software development practices (Agile/Scrum).
Adaptability: Demonstrated ability and willingness to quickly learn new languages and technologies—specifically picking up Python workflows and tasks.
Soft Skills: Clear technical communication skills, strong problem-solving initiative, and a collaborative team mindset.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Candidates currently residing in Chennai are preferred.
