Senior UX Designer

Our team is expanding, and we're seeking a Senior UX Designer to join the effort. Take creative and experience-driven direction and shape it into functional UI specifications and prototypes ready for Unreal Engine production environments. This role acts as the link connecting design vision with engineering execution, defining interaction flows, behavioral logic, navigational structure, and component frameworks that operate reliably across a range of platforms and input approaches.
Responsibilities
Outline UI flows, user journeys, and interaction models for features and screens within the game, transforming them into specifications prepared for development
Build and progressively grow an adaptable UI component framework incorporating patterns, components, variants, and states that maintains consistency across design execution
Compile detailed behavioral documentation addressing focus and navigation sequencing, back-navigation functionality, expected input handling, error/empty/loading states, and additional edge-case scenarios
Keep up close, ongoing engagement with client-facing engineers and UI artists to confirm that designs stay feasible, performant, and cohesive once implemented within the engine
Oversee continuous improvement cycles by reviewing completed builds, offering practical feedback, and adjusting designs according to technical limitations and results from playtesting or QA efforts
Requirements
No fewer than three years of hands-on experience grounded in strong UI/UX practice, shown through having delivered digital products or gaming interfaces
Extensive proficiency in Figma, including components, variants, auto-layout, reusable libraries, and documentation prepared for engineering handoff
Capable of producing implementation-ready deliverables such as annotated screen designs, interaction breakdowns, state diagrams, and clearly outlined acceptance criteria
Practical understanding of the particular constraints and processes tied to developing UI within Unreal Engine
Working familiarity with essential UMG concepts, including layout, anchoring, scaling, and widget states/animations, adequate for designing according to real engine limitations
Understanding of navigation systems centered on focus, along with the need to support multiple input types such as controller and keyboard/mouse
Demonstrated ability designing UI that scales appropriately across different resolutions, aspect ratios, and safe-area requirements
Adequate communication capability paired with English fluency at B2 level or above, supporting accurate interpretation of business needs and their translation into agentic architectures
Nice to have
Understanding of UI framework conventions specific to Unreal, including screen stacks, activatable views, and standard navigation approaches
Experience integrating localization factors into design work, such as managing text expansion, truncation, and adjustable layouts
Attentiveness to accessibility and readability considerations, including contrast, font sizing, and UI crafted for couch-distance interaction
Background contributing to live products defined by fast iteration cycles and regular release schedules
Some familiarity with AI Assistant-related tools
