Role Description The Geologist role at G soil engeears is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The Geologist will conduct field investigations, including site visits, sampling, and observation of soil and rock conditions. Day-to-day tasks include logging boreholes, preparing detailed geological records, and performing geological mapping to support project planning and design. The role involves coordinating with drilling teams, overseeing field work quality, and applying geophysical methods where required. The Geologist will analyze collected data, prepare technical reports, assist in risk assessments, and collaborate with engineers and project managers to deliver clear, actionable recommendations.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Field Work and Geological Mapping for on-site investigations and site characterization.
Candidates should possess skills in Logging and Drilling oversight to accurately document subsurface conditions and ensure data quality.
Candidates should possess foundational knowledge in Geophysics to support interpretation of subsurface data and complement traditional geological methods.
Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree or higher in Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Earth Sciences, or a closely related field.
Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in report writing, data analysis, and use of relevant geological or GIS software.
Candidates should have strong observational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely in varied outdoor and construction environments.
Candidates should possess effective communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams.
Prior experience in geotechnical or engineering geology projects, particularly in urban settings, is an advantage.
