Role Description
The Business Development Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai. This position is responsible for identifying new business opportunities in domestic and international markets, building and nurturing relationships with existing and potential clients, and expanding Jahan Leather Exports’ customer base. Daily tasks include conducting market research, developing sales strategies, preparing proposals and quotations, and participating in client meetings and negotiations. The role also involves collaborating with production, design, and logistics teams to ensure customer requirements are met, tracking sales performance, and preparing regular business development reports. The Business Development Manager will represent the company at trade fairs, industry events, and client visits, reinforcing the brand’s values of quality and sustainability.
Qualifications
Strong skills in business development, sales, and account management,Price Negotiation with a proven ability to generate new business and grow existing accounts.
Experience in market research, competitive analysis, and strategic planning to identify and pursue growth opportunities.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills to engage effectively with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
Knowledge of the leather, footwear, or manufacturing industry, including export procedures, international trade norms, and quality standards.
Ability to work on-site in Chennai, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools; comfort with data-driven decision-making and report preparation.
Willingness to travel for client visits, trade shows, and industry events as needed.
