Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Surat. The Accountant will handle day-to-day bookkeeping, record journal entries, manage accounts payable and receivable, and reconcile bank and ledger accounts. The role includes preparing financial statements, assisting with monthly and annual closes, and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities. The Accountant will ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations, maintain accurate documentation, and assist with audits and financial reviews. Collaboration with internal teams and clients to clarify financial data and provide insights for decision-making is an important part of this position.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong core accounting skills, including general ledger management, journal entry posting, and preparation of financial statements.
Candidates should possess skills in bookkeeping and financial record-keeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
Candidates should possess skills in financial analysis and reporting, including variance analysis, budgeting support, and interpretation of financial data.
Candidates should possess knowledge of tax regulations and compliance, including preparation of tax-related documentation and support during audits.
Candidates should possess proficiency with accounting software and productivity tools (e.g., Tally, ERP systems, MS Excel and other spreadsheet applications).
Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Relevant educational background such as a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMA, CPA or equivalent) are an advantage.
Effective communication skills, integrity in handling confidential information, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and clients.
