Role Description The Owner role at Jagran Lakecity University is a full-time, on-site position based in the Greater Bhopal Area. The Owner is responsible for providing strategic vision and governance, ensuring alignment of the university’s mission with academic, administrative, and financial priorities. Daily activities include overseeing senior leadership, reviewing and approving key institutional policies, and monitoring performance across academic programs, student services, and campus operations. The role involves representing the university in high-level stakeholder engagements, including government agencies, industry partners, and international collaborators, while fostering a culture of integrity, innovation, and inclusive growth. The Owner also supports long-term planning in areas such as infrastructure development, resource allocation, and quality assurance to maintain and enhance JLU’s standing as a leading institution.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in leading large, complex organizations, preferably in higher education or a related sector, with strong strategic planning and governance capabilities.
Proven expertise in financial stewardship, budgeting, and resource management to ensure institutional sustainability and growth.
Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, including experience engaging with government bodies, regulators, industry partners, and international institutions.
Deep understanding of academic quality standards, accreditation processes, and student-centric practices in modern higher education.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills, with the ability to guide senior leadership and inspire diverse teams.
Commitment to equity, inclusion, and ethical leadership, with a track record of fostering collaborative and respectful work environments.
Advanced academic credentials (such as a postgraduate or doctoral degree) in a relevant discipline are highly desirable; significant executive or entrepreneurial experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
Familiarity with global education trends, interdisciplinary program design, and industry-integrated learning models is a strong advantage.
