Role Description The Czech Audio Transcriber (Remote) role is a contract position focused on accurately converting spoken Czech audio into clean, well-formatted written text. Day-to-day tasks include listening to audio recordings, transcribing speech verbatim or in edited form according to project guidelines, and applying correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation in Czech. The transcriber will tag speakers, timestamps, and other required metadata, follow style guides, and ensure consistency across files. Responsibilities also include meeting deadlines, maintaining confidentiality, and collaborating with project coordinators through online tools in a fully remote environment.
Qualifications
Strong Czech language skills, including excellent listening comprehension, spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
Demonstrated experience in audio transcription or related fields such as captioning, subtitling, or linguistic annotation.
Ability to follow detailed instructions, style guides, and formatting standards with high attention to detail and accuracy.
Comfort working with transcription software, media players, and productivity tools; reliable internet connection and computer.
Strong time management skills, including the ability to handle multiple files, meet deadlines, and work independently in a remote setting.
Basic understanding of data privacy and confidentiality requirements when handling client content.
Prior experience with freelance or contract work on global platforms and familiarity with English for project communication is an advantage.
