Role Description This is a full-time, on-site PHP Developer role based in Ahmedabad. The PHP Developer will design, develop, and maintain web applications with a focus on clean, secure, and scalable code. Daily responsibilities include implementing backend features in PHP (and Laravel or similar frameworks), integrating databases and APIs, and collaborating with front-end developers to deliver responsive, user-friendly interfaces. The role also involves troubleshooting and debugging issues, performing code reviews, and optimizing application performance. The PHP Developer will work closely with product and content teams to support platform features that enhance learning experiences.
Qualifications
Strong Back-End Web Development skills, including PHP and frameworks such as Laravel, with experience building and maintaining scalable web applications.
Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and design patterns, and ability to write modular, reusable, and testable code.
Foundational Front-End Development skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to collaborate effectively with front-end teams and integrate UI with backend services.
Proficiency in general Software Development practices and Programming, including version control (Git/GitHub), debugging, and performance optimization.
Experience working with relational databases (MySQL) and familiarity with RESTful APIs and JSON-based integrations.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment in Ahmedabad, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks (such as React) and Node.js is a plus, along with an interest in education or developer-focused products.
