TIMSHEL Capital is a private investment and equity research initiative under Aswathi Group, focused on identifying high-potential opportunities in the Indian equity markets through disciplined research, advanced technical analysis and data-driven investment strategies.
We are establishing a dedicated investment research desk in Bengaluru and are looking for an experienced, highly analytical Equity Research Analyst with exceptional chart-reading skills and a strong understanding of stock-market behaviour.
Our focus is on identifying high-probability investment opportunities, particularly in swing trading and positional investing, through systematic research, technical expertise and disciplined risk management.
About the Role
We are seeking an analyst who can go beyond conventional indicators and independently identify promising stocks before or during the early stages of significant price movements.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of price action, market structure, trading volume, relative strength, momentum and sector trends, along with the ability to develop well-defined trading strategies.
This role offers the opportunity to work directly with the founder, contribute to investment decisions and develop research-driven trading methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
Stock Identification: Independently screen and identify high-potential stocks from the Indian equity markets for swing trading and positional investment.
Advanced Chart Analysis: Analyze daily and weekly charts using price action, candlestick structures, support and resistance, trend analysis, breakout patterns and consolidation structures.
Technical Research: Evaluate moving averages, relative strength, volume patterns, momentum indicators and other technical tools to identify high-probability setups.
Trading Opportunities: Develop actionable trade ideas with clearly defined entry points, stop-loss levels, profit targets and risk–reward ratios.
Market & Sector Analysis: Monitor broader market conditions, sector rotation, institutional activity indicators and emerging market trends.
Strategy Development: Research, backtest and refine trading strategies to improve consistency, risk management and capital efficiency.
Investment Research: Combine technical analysis with relevant fundamental developments, earnings performance and market news to strengthen investment decisions.
Performance Evaluation: Maintain detailed research records, track trade setups and evaluate the effectiveness of investment strategies.
Founder Collaboration: Work closely with the founder to evaluate stock opportunities and continuously improve the firm's research processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
3–6 years of relevant experience in equity research, technical analysis, swing trading or professional market analysis.
Exceptional chart-reading and price-action analysis skills.
Strong understanding of market structure, price-volume relationships, breakouts, pullbacks, trend continuation and reversal patterns.
Practical experience using TradingView, Chartink and other market research platforms.
Proficiency with technical indicators including EMA, RSI, MACD, Supertrend, ATR and relative strength.
Ability to independently identify, evaluate and present potential investment opportunities.
Strong understanding of position sizing, risk management and risk–reward analysis.
Excellent analytical thinking, attention to detail and research discipline.
Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly explain investment ideas and technical observations.
Preferred Skills
The following will be considered additional advantages:
Experience with Pine Script, Python or quantitative research.
Knowledge of systematic trading strategies and historical backtesting.
Understanding of CANSLIM, momentum investing, relative-strength-based stock selection and sector rotation.
Familiarity with fundamental analysis, earnings growth and institutional ownership trends.
Experience in a professional trading desk, proprietary trading firm, brokerage research team or investment research environment.
