About Sell Front
Sell Front gives any business that takes orders its own website and checkout, run from the WhatsApp chat the owner already uses. Orders arrive in WhatsApp with Accept and Out of stock buttons, and stock and payments are handled from the same chat. No code, no app, no dashboard. We are opening to our first group of businesses now.
The role
You will be the first person on the team whose job is bringing businesses onto Sell Front. You will find shops that sell over WhatsApp and Instagram, show them their own shop, and set the first ones up with them. The role is fully remote: you work from anywhere in India, over WhatsApp, calls and video. What you hear from owners will shape what we build next.
What you will do
• Build a pipeline of businesses across India: cafés, bakeries, boutiques, jewellers, kirana stores and D2C brands, from Instagram, WhatsApp, referrals and your own network.
• Show Sell Front to owners on video calls and WhatsApp, in the language they prefer.
• Onboard each business with them: collect product photos, set up the catalogue, and see their first order through.
• Follow up until they are live and selling, and stay their first point of contact afterwards.
• Log every lead and conversation in our tracker, and tell us what owners ask for and push back on.
• Meet weekly goals for conversations, demos and businesses onboarded.
You will do well here if you
• Have 0 to 2 years in sales, business development, merchant onboarding or retail. Freshers with a strong application are welcome.
• Speak Hindi and English fluently.
• Understand small businesses: you have run one, worked in one, or always end up talking to the owner.
• Can start conversations with strangers over WhatsApp and calls, and don't mind hearing "no" on the way to "yes".
• Use WhatsApp and Instagram the way shop owners do.
• Work well on your own: you plan your day, keep your notes tidy and follow up without being reminded.
• Have a laptop, a smartphone and a reliable internet connection.
