Role Description The Cosmetics Product Development Coordinator is a part-time, remote role responsible for supporting end-to-end development of cosmetic products from concept to launch. On a day-to-day basis, this role coordinates project timelines, tracks milestones, and facilitates communication between internal teams, suppliers, and clients. Key tasks include gathering and organizing product requirements, monitoring sample development and testing progress, and compiling documentation related to formulations, packaging, and regulatory needs. The coordinator also supports market research activities, prepares concise reports and presentations, and assists in aligning product features with client objectives and consumer trends. This position requires consistent online collaboration, proactive follow-up on project activities, and careful attention to detail to ensure smooth and timely execution of product development initiatives.
Qualifications
Strong Communication skills to collaborate with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, and to produce clear written updates and reports.
Solid Analytical Skills to interpret market data, compare product specifications, and support informed decisions in product development.
Project Management capabilities to coordinate timelines, track deliverables, manage documentation, and support multiple projects concurrently.
Experience or knowledge in Product Development within cosmetics or related consumer goods, including familiarity with formulations, packaging, and basic regulatory considerations.
Sales awareness or experience to understand market positioning, customer needs, and commercial goals that influence product features and pricing.
Additional beneficial qualifications: familiarity with cosmetic industry trends and regulations, proficiency with productivity and collaboration tools (e.g., spreadsheets, project management software), strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
Relevant education in cosmetics science, chemistry, business, marketing, or a related field is advantageous, along with prior experience in beauty, personal care, or consulting environments.
