Reporting and Analytics Associate

Role Description The Reporting and Analytics Associate is a part-time remote role responsible for organizing, analyzing, and presenting data related to the opportunities shared on the platform. This team member will collect and maintain datasets on posted opportunities, track key metrics such as categories, regions, deadlines, and application outcomes, and produce periodic reports and dashboards that inform content strategy and community engagement. Daily tasks include cleaning and validating data, preparing summaries and visualizations, supporting financial and operational analyses, and communicating findings in clear formats for internal use and public updates. The role also involves collaborating with the content team to identify trends, improve usability, and recommend data-driven enhancements to how opportunities are presented to the community.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills and the ability to work with datasets, identify trends, and generate actionable insights.
Candidates should possess clear and professional Communication skills, including the ability to explain data findings to non-technical audiences in writing and verbally.
Candidates should possess Finance and Accounting knowledge to support basic financial analyses and interpretation of opportunity-related financial information.
Candidates should possess Financial Reporting skills, including experience preparing summaries, dashboards, and regular performance reports.
Proficiency with spreadsheets and data tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets; familiarity with data visualization tools is an advantage).
Strong attention to detail, reliability in handling data, and ability to work independently in a remote, part-time setting.
Relevant academic background or practical experience in finance, accounting, economics, statistics, data analysis, or a related field is beneficial.
Interest in opportunities for Africans and the African diaspora, and commitment to equitable, transparent access to information.
