Key Responsibilities
Oversee and maintain fixed asset and lease accounting schedules, ensuring full compliance with GAAP and organizational standards.
Execute comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual period close processes, including precise journal entries, allocations, and account reconciliations.
Prepare complex general ledger account reconciliations, detailed cost reports, accurate bank reconciliations, and essential regulatory financial reports.
Leverage Workday and the Microsoft ecosystem automation tools (such as Power Automate and advanced Excel functions) to optimize workflows, significantly reduce manual processing, and enhance data accuracy.
Analyze complex financial data, effectively communicating findings, limitations, and guidance to non-finance stakeholders across the organization.
Prepare federal, state, and other regulatory reports, ensuring complete compliance with established guidelines and reporting mandates.
Must-Have Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution.
Proven experience in fixed asset accounting and lease accounting within an enterprise or health system setting.
Hands-on proficiency with Workday financial modules.
Demonstrated experience utilizing Microsoft ecosystem automation tools (e.g., Power Automate, Excel advanced functions) to improve accounting workflows.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax, and local, state, and federal regulatory reporting requirements.
Superior written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex financial concepts for non-finance users.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
Prior experience working within a healthcare or health system environment.
