Role Description The Warehouse Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Tiruchirappalli, responsible for overseeing day-to-day warehouse operations to support manufacturing and distribution activities. This role includes planning and supervising material handling, storage, and movement, monitoring inventory levels, and coordinating shipping and receiving activities to ensure timely supply of components and finished goods. The Warehouse Supervisor will lead and guide warehouse team members, assign tasks, enforce safety standards, and ensure compliance with company procedures and quality requirements. Daily responsibilities also involve maintaining accurate records, optimizing space utilization, supporting cycle counts and audits, and collaborating with production, logistics, and procurement teams to resolve issues and improve efficiency.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Supervisory Skills, including team leadership, workload planning, and performance monitoring.
Candidates should possess hands-on experience in Shipping & Receiving processes, including documentation, dispatch coordination, and handling inbound materials.
Candidates should possess practical knowledge of Material Handling and Inventory Control, including stock rotation, storage methods, and reconciliation of inventory records.
Candidates should possess safe Forklift Operation skills and familiarity with other warehouse equipment, following all safety and maintenance guidelines.
Relevant experience in manufacturing or automotive warehousing, with understanding of basic Lean or 5S principles, is beneficial.
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and competence in using warehouse or ERP systems are preferred.
A diploma or degree in logistics, supply chain, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in warehouse supervision, is desirable.
