About Q4
Q4 is an AI-powered financial research platform built for analysts, investors, and investment teams focused on the Saudi Arabian capital market.
We're building a platform that makes researching Saudi-listed companies dramatically faster. Instead of spending hours digging through financial statements, earnings reports, and company disclosures, financial professionals can ask complex questions and get reliable, source-backed answers in seconds. We're a small team building something ambitious, and we're looking for someone to take ownership of one of the most important parts of our product: Q4 AI Chat.
What you'll work on
You'll be responsible for building, improving, and scaling the AI systems powering our financial research experience.
This includes:
Designing and improving Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures.
Building and maintaining backend services and AI pipelines.
Working with embedding models, vector databases, and semantic search.
Improving document retrieval, context management, and answer accuracy.
Integrating and evaluating different LLMs.
Optimizing AI systems for speed, cost, reliability, and scalability.
Building systems that can understand complex financial documents and return accurate, verifiable answers.
Taking AI features from an idea to a working production system.
What we're looking for
We're not looking for someone who just knows how to call an LLM API.
We want someone who understands how AI systems actually work and genuinely enjoys solving difficult engineering problems.
You should have decent knowledge of:
RAG architecture and retrieval pipelines.
Backend engineering and API development.
SQL databases and vector databases.
Embedding models and semantic vector search.
LLM integration, evaluation, and optimization.
Python, TypeScript, or similar backend technologies.
Experience with financial data, document processing, or production AI applications is a plus.
Strong English communication skills are required. Additional languages are a plus.
