Role Description The Senior Developer role at Omniqe is a full-time, on-site position based in Navi Mumbai. The person in this position will design, develop, test, and maintain complex software applications, ensuring high performance, security, and scalability. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean and maintainable code, reviewing code from peers, troubleshooting production issues, and optimizing existing systems. The Senior Developer will collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to refine requirements, estimate effort, and deliver features on schedule. This role also involves mentoring less-experienced developers, contributing to architectural decisions, and improving development workflows and standards.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in at least one modern programming language (such as Java, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or similar) and proficiency with associated frameworks.
Solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms, with experience building scalable and maintainable systems.
Hands-on experience with version control (e.g., Git), unit and integration testing, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices.
Practical knowledge of relational and/or NoSQL databases, API design (REST or GraphQL), and application performance optimization.
Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, communicate complex technical concepts clearly, and provide technical mentorship.
Experience working in Agile or similar iterative development environments and participating in ceremonies such as sprint planning and retrospectives.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience in leading projects or owning significant technical components; familiarity with cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, or GCP) is an advantage.
